Happy Friday to all!! My day is winding down at work & I'm ready (well not litterally) to hit the road. I still have to pack. We are headed off for our last weekend of basketball of the summer. I'll be away from the computer until Monday, but hopefully will find a creative spark over the weekend so I can improve my blossoming blog. Have a GREAT weekend! See ya next week!

Hump Day

Happy Wednesday! Hope you are all surviving yet another week. It has been busy at my house, yet also extra quiet because my 11-year old is staying at his aunt & uncles for the week. Last night I had a wonderful supper with a friend that I hadn't visited with in ages. It was so nice to catch up on each others lives. I'm at a bit of a crossroads (if you want to call it that) with my employment and needed to be able to bounce some ideas off someone with an outside perspective. I'm only 35 years old, my youngest will graduate from high school when I'm 42. So the question is....What do I want to be when I grow up? Right now I am the secretary/bookkeeper at a church. Do I want to do this for the next 20 years? Absolutely NOT!! I do have a sociology degree, but live in a town of under 4,000 people so there's not much use for that field. I'm considering getting into education, but not sure I can be a classroom teacher. I am leaning toward special education so I would have more opportunity to work in small group settings or one-on-one. Do I take the plunge & go back to school for Special Education? Should I start with just getting the Teacher Certification with my Sociology degree? Should I be happy that I have a job & stop stressing over the future? Too many questions for Hump Day. Thanks for stopping by! Leave a comment is you've got any insight on what I should be when I grow up.

MckLinky Blog Hop Favorite Kid Photos

Here are a few of my favorite Kid Photos: Abbie, my daughter playing basketball. My youngest son, Isaac & husband on my son's first pheasant hunting trip. My favorite one is of my three kids when they were little being silly with old glasses at Grandma's house.

MckLinky Blog Hop

Slow start

Okay, I'm getting a slow start to this whole blogging thing. Think I'm a bit overwhelmed. I love searching through other peoples blogs & found quite a few that I really enjoy. I'm just not sure where to start my own. I think of something I could write about & then think "Darn it, should have taken a picture of that for my blog". Oh well, I'll try to get better.

In the mean time, my sister is trying to get me going. She called this morning & was trying to talk me thru this "MckLinky BlogHop" so I'll give it a whirl.

Hello! I made it!!

Hello bloggers! I've made it. My sister talked me into getting started blogging. I really have no idea what I'm doing. Within the last few weeks I have started following a few blogs that peaked my interest. I have a job where I sit at a computer for 7 hours a day (most of which I have nothing to do) so why not spend some of that time blogging? Okay, I'll give it a try. I'll start off by saying - "I'm not very creative & I'm definitely not a writer". Thanks for the push Amy!
